How to Use AI Storytelling in PowerDirector

PowerDirector's AI Storytelling turns a folder of random clips into a narrated story, no editing skills required. Drop in your videos or photos, tell it what the moment was about, and it writes the script, picks the best shots, and narrates the whole thing in a voice of your choosing.

Open AI Storytelling and give your story a title. Then click Import Media to add your video clips or photos. You can add up to 10 minutes of footage and mix formats freely; PowerDirector picks what fits your final duration.

Before moving on, set your Aspect Ratio, Duration, and Language, and tick Include AI Narration if you want the story read aloud, using Change beside the voice to swap the narrator. We imported eight travel clips and named the story “Japanese Travel.”

Pick a Theme that matches your footage (Daily life, Travel, Pets, Memories, Events, or Product), then write a Brief Description of what the story is about. The More Description box is optional. Use it to call out anything specific you want included.

AI Storytelling breaks your footage into scenes, writes a short direction for each one, and picks the clips to match. Read through each scene and edit the text if something's off, then click Apply Changes & Re-Generate to update the story. The button prints how many re-generations you have left, so edit every scene you are unhappy with before spending one. When you're happy with it, click Next to move on.

This is where the story comes together. Tick Include AI Narration and pick a voice, choose a subtitle style, and let AI match background music automatically or import your own track. Watch the Storyboard Preview update as you go, then click Export when you're happy with it.
