How to Use AI Music Generator in PowerDirector
Pick a genre, a mood and a theme, and get a soundtrack cut to the length you need.

Finding library music that fits an edit usually means auditioning tracks and then cutting one to length. AI Music Generator works the other way round: you describe the music in three words, say how long it needs to be, and it writes a track to that brief, already the right length.
- In PowerDirector, open the GenAI menu and choose AI Music Generator under Audio.
- Pick one chip from each of Genre, Mood and Theme.
- Set Tempo, Intensity and Length.
- Click Generate, then play it back and adjust from the track card.

Step 1: Open AI Music Generator
Open the GenAI menu. Its entries are grouped by what they produce, and this one sits under Audio.
Step 2: Describe the Music in Three Words
There is no prompt box here. The brief is three chips, one from each tab: Genre for what kind of music it is, Mood for how it should feel, and Theme for what it is for. The window says as much before you start, asking for a combination of all three.
Your picks collect in a tray under the tabs, each with an X, so you can see all three choices at once without switching tabs to check. Generate stays inactive until all three are there.
The three picks end up in the file name. A track briefed as Afrobeats, Busy & Frantic, Broadcasting is saved as Music_Afrobeats_Broadcasting_Busy & Frantic.mp3, so when several are sitting in a folder you can tell which brief produced which without playing them.
Step 3: Set Tempo, Intensity and Length
Tempo is Low, Normal or High. Intensity runs Quiet, Mid, Intense, Extreme, and is the one that decides whether the track sits under a voice or carries the scene on its own.
Length is the reason to use this rather than a library: set it to the length of the thing you are scoring and the track arrives already that long, with no fade to hide a cut. Generated songs sets how many come back from one brief.
Step 4: Generate and Adjust
The finished track appears as a card with a play control and a scrub bar, its name, and the tempo it actually landed on in beats per minute.
The card carries its own Intensity dropdown and a Re-generate button, so a track that is right in style but too loud under dialogue can be redone at a lower intensity without going back and picking the three chips again.

Length is a slider you set before generating, and the track comes back at that length. Setting it to match the section you are scoring saves cutting one to fit afterwards.
How much room the track takes up. Quiet sits under narration, Extreme carries a scene by itself. It is the setting to reach for when a track is right in character but fighting the voice on top of it.
